If you want to send somebody some movies, over the internet or with a portable memory disc(stick, CD, DVD etc.) you might find that the person you want to send that movie will not be able to view your movie because he/she does not have the proper codecs. Than you have to start wondering what is the codec you are using and how to send him/her the codec and explain how to install it, or even why is it necessary to have that codec. This is no longer necessary. No matter what type of video file you have created, now you can convert it into the standard AVI format so that everyone can see it!

Setup:
The verification for viruses is NECESSARY. This is an “.exe” file and these types of files may be corrupted during transfer. After you download and scan it, you run the “EZToo-AVI-Converter.exe” file and follow the instructions. It’s standard setup, so it is pretty easy to use.
The language of the setup program is English.

Using:
The interface is user-friendly. Basically you have to add your files and they will appear in the list from the left part of the window. Then you select the output format from the “Profile” list. For more detailed settings there is a “Profile Settings” section in the up-right part of the main window so that you can get the quality you want.
When everything is set, you just hit the “two round arrows” button, or go to File->Convert. The time of the conversion depends on the settings you have for the profile and the speed of the computer, but in general it goes pretty fast. (lives up to the expectations of speed: over 600%!)
The unregistered version will convert videos shorter than 3:00 minutes.
Process:
The governing process for this program is “EZToo AVI Video Converter.exe” and also “register.dat” (this last one appears only while the program is converting files. It consumes most of the processor but does not cross 95% so the computer is still usable: does not end up dead till it finishes converting). The first process governing the main window hardly uses the CPU and uses a constant value of 30 MB of RAM memory. “register.dat” will use 12 MB of RAM memory. That sums up to 42 MB of RAM memory per session. That puts this program in the category of medium consuming resources.
