Problem description:
At reinstalling Windows Vista the “Blue Screen of Doom” keeps appearing and shuts down the computer.
Solution:
What is happening to the computer is a conflict between Vista Requirements and the hardware.
Most often this is a RAM memory problem. And also this happens from the BIOS settings of the RAM memory.
Since the replacement of the RAM may be inconvenient and might not solve the problem, we are going to look into the BIOS settings.
The RAM latency timers need to be changed. Even default or auto may be the wrong setting for Vista so they have to be changed manually.
I cannot be more precise because depending on the version of BIOS where to find those settings exactly is different also. Basically, once they are located they have to be set closer to their minimal value, and then the system may be reinstalled.
